The search is not ideal for a large customer as it does not allow filtering. It looks for both the first and last name. eg. you type "d" and Adam Daniel and Desmond Bociark comes up. However if you have 4500 users it would bring up quite a few. How can I provide some text for the first and second names?

to do this you have to enter 'a d' (using button 0 to enter space in between letters) if you would like to search by first name starting with 'a' and last name starting with 'd'. Similarly, to search by last name only, enter ' d' (space-d).
How many pages can be displayed in a search?

Intelligent Directory can display as many pages as needed for all 4500 users.
How can you access features on the right hand side when there are no corresponding buttons on the 5330?

Cannot login with to Intelligent Directory with a valid username/password and domain.

We are investigating Active directory properties to see what causes this problem. In the meantime, please add the @domain to your username. eg. henry@test.test.com .
Further investigating shows that in active directory, there is a field which specifies a Pre Windows 2000 login name. If this name is different from the username, then the pre windows 2000 login name must be used.
How do I cnfigure ID to dial 9 automatically before each number?

You can set it up in the Server running ID...
1) Open "Control Panel"
2) Open "Phone and Modem Options"
3) In the dialog that appears, make sure you're on the "Dialing Rules" tab
4) Either create a New Location or edit an existing one
5) On the "Edit Location" dialog, fill in the dialog setting "to access an outside line for local calls, dial" to "9".
6) Say "OK" to each dialog and you should be set.
